May is in full, beautiful bloom all around us, and things are beginning to come to fruition for Zo Row! Last month and this month continue to be about meetings and more meetings as we move through the multiple layers of the permitting process, and things are going very well! We are working with Medford City Hall and various commissions and agencies, and we're still aiming for our goal of having all permits and approvals in place in time to set up our site and have our opening day sometime this summer!
Please remember that starting our sweep rowing program on the Mystic River is contingent upon successful completion of all permitting processes, successful fundraising, and readiness of our site and equipment to start our programs! That said, everything is moving in the right direction -- and the current is beginning to flow!
If you are excited about the prospect of rowing with Zo Row, I would love to hear from you! We have a good amount of work ahead, and some great rowing too! All in all, we have a lot to look forward to! |

Zo Row Rowing Club, Inc., is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality, public-access rowing programs for youths and adults in the Boston area in an inclusive, positive, team-oriented environment. Zo Row emphasizes teaching and technique to its team members with a mind/body/spirit approach, with the goal being personal and team growth through a positive rowing experience.
Zo Row’s rowing programs approach teaching rowing and building competitive crews within a whole-team dynamic, wherein every team member is a respected and valued component of the team. Zo Row’s integrated mind/body/spirit approach is perfectly suited for the sport of rowing as we train our rowers for strength and speed on the water. Mastery of rowing requires meditative stillness within the boat, and as rowers bring increased physical strenuousness to their workouts, they can experience the exhilaration of speed! |
